Enabling Unforgettable Memories

The first time we stepped off the plane onto the stairs leading down to the tarmac at Kilimanjaro International Airport, my daughter Antonia and I looked at each other with the same thought: This is Africa. The warm breeze carried a unique fragrance, and the sun—directly overhead—cast almost no shadow. We tried to play it cool, but the excitement got the best of us. I’m pretty sure we started jumping up and down a little.

Antonia was 13 at the time, and that first trip to Tanzania completely changed her outlook on life. We were greeted by my sister Linda and her daughter Daatih—our local family connection. Linda had moved to Tanzania years earlier and was teaching at a local high school. What followed was an unforgettable trip packed with adventure, laughter, and discovery. We used to joke that nothing could top that first trip, but every time we returned, Tanzania somehow managed to raise the bar.

That first adventure is the heart of why we started this business: to help others experience the same magic and wonder that Tanzania shared with us.
